The Club
sponsors rock hunts during the summer months different areas around the
Midwest. Often large groups get
together to hunt for specimens or fossils from particular areas. Some of
the trips the club has taken in recent years include rock quarries for
hunting for fossils, trips to Oklahoma
to dig for calcite roses and selenite,
hunts for Fairburn and Lake Superior Agates in South Dakota. |
